Labor Watch: Week 35

I have been having contractions since early in this pregnancy due to the rapid growth of my belly. But recently they have changed. I have experienced many symptoms of impending labor including that I am sleepy and/or sleeping twelve hours of the day and night. I am having loose bowel movements. Not hungry or vomit when I eat too much. I also feel the contractions in my vagina and buttocks. They have been lasting longer to the point of 80 seconds. My NST's have gone from once to twice weekly because he is nonreactive. He looking good on ultrasound and passed the diaphragm test where chest raises in a practicing breathing motion.  My nesting is about done except finding cloth diaper deals which I hoped to wait until Black Friday to purchase but he may most likely come before Turkey Day.

Crying Or Snoring Baby In Womb

I have this pass week or so been feeling a rumble in my belly. At first it felt like if something was wrong... like a lot of mothers do when something is unfamiliar. I thought seizures!  I googled and found all different posts and forums stating how many mothers like myself have wondered about this rattlesnake phenomenom. I have also thought as I see it happen more often and rhythmic that it might be snoring. Just like daddy! Lol! Maybe he had a matchbox car in there already and was just playing or maybe he was purring and comforting himself like a kitten.  Well, it is true that babies practice breathing in the womb and this sensation may be just that. It may also be the baby crying in the womb or stretching in the womb.  Since I have polyhydramnios, I figured I just felt more than other normal pregnancies and it was just waves of the excess liquid in my uterus that our son is having fun swimming around in.  Whatever it is, I hope he is growing healthy as the weekly ultrasounds and NST

Pregnancy: I'm Surprised I'm Not Tipping Over Yet!!!

I am very surprised I am not tipping over yet! I have the biggest stomach I ever did have in all my life! Measuring at a 48" all around, I am 4 feet of belly! Wow! Oh, and I still have a month left to go until my "due date" !!  Bittersweet Diagnosis: Polyhydramnios   Being recently diagnosed with polyhydramnios has been bittersweet. Sweet in that I know now I was right in my diet and I wasn't gaining all this water weight unhealthily on my own. Bitter as there is a whole new set of risks associated with this situation. Overdistended uterus, PROM or water breaking early, preterm labor, contractions for months, cord prelapse during labor, baby possibly having swallowing issues, gestational diabetes possibility, extra weight gain, bed rest, baby having possible heart, lung or gastional intestional issues.  My Weight Gain My weight has now plateaud since last month, at about 180-182 pounds. Gaining a total of about 30-35 pounds this pregnancy. Starting out overweight I w
